The Veronicas Biography

The Veronicas is a renowned Australian rock-pop band formed by the twin sisters Lisa Marie and Jessica Louise Origliasso. The Veronicas born on December 25th, 1984 in Brisbane are award-winning singers, who write their own lyrics. The sisters are very passionate lovers of Archie Comics, which is why they chose Veronica as their Band name.

The Veronicas began their career as child artists appearing in numerous television shows including the 2001 Australian Children's series, "Cybergirl" in which they played the role of twin sisters. Three years later, Hayden Bell, the music director of The Bell Hughes Music Group, popularly known as BHMG spotted the girls Lisa and Jessica and was pretty impressed by their singing talents. Hayden Bell also helped refine their musical talents to the extent that they created their own style blending rock and pop together. Later he helped them secure a production deal with Engine Room a subsidiary of PBL Group.

The Veronicas released their debut album "The Secret Life of the Veronicas in Australia" on October 17th, 2005 and topped #3 on the Billboard Top Heatseekers chart. The album also gained platinum status in its first week of release.

Their song, "All About Us" became a huge hit all over Europe and brought them instant recognition. Thanks to Hayden and the Russian girl Group, T.A.T.U, which played it all over Europe.
The sisters are currently busy working on their next album.
